Road Trip
I painted this picture
for the cover of my brother Sand Sheff’s CD album,
“Red Dirt Road.”
For many years the freedom of the road
has of offered me the chance to escape
from the stress that can build up
in every person's life.
When driving by mesas, buttes, red rock,
any old rocks, mountains and trees,
I am from another place,
and life is not about a paycheck.
I am the earth,
and I am at peace.
