Buffalo Park

I walk and I see
the mountains before me.
Green and golden brown peaks
stand strong against a majestic sky,
a sky of cobalt blue and virgin white.
I think of the beauty before me.
Unaltered by human hands.
I know this is God's place.
I am thankful
for my feet that carry me,
through golden fields
and wide open space.

The crows they sail on meadow winds.
gracefully they hover above the tranquil land.
Wood thrush sing their sacred song.
Their melody penetrates my soul.

I think of mothing and allow
my senses to absorb the sound and color.
Here I am one with nature, with it's calling,
to carry her message of beauty to others.
To offer her up as a place of solace and peace,
in this fast shifting paced world.
Remind others I am here she cries.
I am priceless and breathtaking.
Remind them,
help them find me
so they may recall
what peace feels like.
